2026 Longshot

Paul has been called up to preach, teach, and shepherd hearts since he was 17 years old. After receiving his BA in English and Biblical languages, he resistantly went to the seminary upon the assurance from a professor that “Going to the seminary doesn’t mean you have to be a pastor.” Paul married Angie in 2001 and they, along with another couple, planted a church in Buda, TX called The Well. Their bi-vocational model of planting connected them with Jesus followers and Jesus skeptics alike – a theme that would continue for the rest of their lives. Paul was then called to serve as Lead Pastor of CrossPoint Church in Katy, TX. After navigating a financial and cultural turnaround, several natural disasters, and many other church crises, Paul was burned out. Knowing the church was in a good spot, he took a job with some friends at a startup in Montana. Paul is now transitioning back in more vocational ministry – speaking, leading, and providing spiritual support to leaders. He lives in Montana with his wife, Angie, and his two boys while his daughters attend college in Texas. Paul enjoys going to the gym, running trails along Montana cliffs, fly fishing cold Montana waters, hunting, adventures with his kids, and dancing with Angie.
